MACAVITY : THE MYSTERY CAT SUMMARY
The poem “Macavity: The Mystery Cat” has been composed by T.S Eliot who is a great modern poet of England. He did much in the field of English Literature therefore he got the Nobel price in 1948 for his famous book ‘The wasteland;’ in the present poem the poet has described the different activities of a Cat. It’s name macavity. It is notorious because it creates many crimes which are not expected by anyone therefor the poet has called it a mystery cat, hidden paw and master criminal. After creating crime, it removes all clues and runs away from the place sothat nobody may catch and punish it. He says that it does not obey the rules of men aswell as it breaks the law of gravity. It can fly in the air as birds can fly. He is angry with it because it’s behaviour is not ilked by anyone. The poet addresses macavity as the Napolean of Crime. It is a sweet poem written by him.
